When my Dad and I went to Buffalo to watch the Coyotes play the Sabres we were able to sit right behind the Coyotes bench. I was able to get a fist pump from all the players before the start of each period which was so awesome. For the game, I made a sign asking OEL if I could have his stick. After the game, I couldn't believe it. He gave me his game used stick!!! It was the best night ever!

My Dad and I made a trip to Detroit to watch the Canucks play the Red Wings. It took us about 3.5 hours to get to Windsor where we spent the night. The next morning we headed to the new Detroit Arena which was really nice for a 12:00 noon game. I made a sign a couple nights before showing OEL that I was his biggest fan. I was really hoping to get a warm-up puck which he usually gives me. I didn't get a puck but he did give me one of his hockey sticks. The best part was it was on the day of his 900th NHL Hockey Game. I was so excited to get it. OEL is the best and I am so grateful. 

My Dad and I have started making a yearly trip to Ottawa to see OEL play the Senators. This trip was amazing because we got to speak to OEL a few times. We had a chat with him just before he went to morning practice and then again after practice. He was really nice spending as much time as he did with me and my Dad. When we went to the game I was pretty sure I was going to get a warmup puck which I did get. I was not expecting to get a stick since the sign I made did not mention a stick. I was really surprised when he came over with a signed stick for me. I was so happy to get it because now I am lucky enough to have a stick when he was on the Coyotes, the Canucks and now with the Panthers. Even I know that I am really lucky.
