Congratulations Ekman-Larsson and the Florida Panthers. I am so excited that OEL has a really good chance at winning The Cup. I only wish I could be there but I will be watching every game. OEL is going to have a tough time containing McDavid and Draisaitl but I know he is going to do a great job. Bring home The Cup Panthers!

So excited to get the final Emerald Surge I needed for the O-Pee-Chee Platinum set from various years. All of these parallels are only limited to 10 each so I was not too sure if I was ever going to get it. I know I will never get every single OEL card but there are a few cards that My Dad and I are always looking hard for.

I finally got what my Dad calls a "White Whale" card. He said its a card that for whatever reason, we just cant find even though its not super rare. It's limited to 60 so finding it should not have been as hard as it was. I had the blank back version of this card and it was limited out of 3 which is extremely rare. I'm just glad that this is now off my list of needs and one of our White Wales has been caught.

It's been a few weeks since I have gotten a new OEL card but one did come in the mail today. This is a 2016-17 Fleer Showcase White Hot limited to 25. There are 2 other parallel cards of this that I already have so this was the final one I needed. Nice looking card with OEL wearing my favorite Coyotes Jersey. Glad to have this in my collection.

A pretty decent parallel add to my collection today. Limited to only 18, this Artifacts card has 3 patches from 3 different Coyotes. Not a big fan of the multiple player artifacts cards but If OEL is on it, you know I am going to want it.

Today I received a printing plate of OEL from this year's O-Pee-Chee Retro set. I really like the retro set this year so having one of the printing plates is pretty cool. It's doubtful that I will find all 4 colours but at least I have one. I'm actually surprised that I don't have too many printing plates. I know they are rare but I never really see them anywhere.

My Dad was able to find the Purple Parallel at a small card show in Barrie Ontario. He was surprised to see it but he quickly picked it up for my collection. I almost have all the various parallels but I am still missing the Yellow boarder that is found only in the blaster packs and of course the nearly impossible to find Red Boarder Blank Back 1 of 1. I got lucky last year so hopefully we might see it at some point.

Always like getting the very limited parallels. My Dad was able to find this one for a very reasonable price. This one is limited to 5 and I have number 4. I know I have probably said this a lot in some of my posts but there is something special about having an OEL card that so few have. I am always curious as to where the other 4 versions are. Maybe another OEL collector?

Got one of the hardest Upper Deck cards to get. I now have the High Gloss version limited to 10. My Dad managed to find one available on eBay and he was able to win the auction. Now I just need to find the Red Burst version out of 25 which hopefully won't be too hard. Not counting on getting the Gold Burst which is a 1 of 1 version but that ok.

I have to say, it's been a good couple weeks of OEL collecting. Seems like there is something new everyday. Well, today I got a very limited edition card. This is a gold alternate Team Logo Jumbo. It's only limited to 5 which makes it super rare. so I am glad to have it in my collection. I sometimes wonder, where are the other 4 cards? Maybe there are a few that are still in an unopened box. Hmmmm...

What a day today!!! My Dad and I went to a cards, comics and collectables show in Woodstock, Ontario which is about an hour and 20 minutes away from us. It was a decent size show with a lot of people selling cards. We looked around for a while but didn't find any OEL cards I don't already have. There was this one table that asked us if there was something we were looking for. We told him OEL and he said he had one somewhere on his table. We figured it was going to be a card I already had. When we did find it, my Dad and I were in shock. A 3/8 Patch from The Cup! I was so excited but it wasn't cheap. My Dad talked the guy down and since it was for me, I think he let it go cheaper than he wanted to. It's been a good week for OEL cards and this one here was easily the best.

Another parallel showed up today. The Upper Deck Exclusives limited to 100 has now been added to my collection. Looking at all my cards yesterday, I noticed that the only Ekman-Larsson Exclusives card I am missing is the one below (2015-16).

A very nice surprise today. My Dad managed to find an older Upper Deck High Gloss Parallel. There are only 10 of them so finding them is so hard but here we have it. Number 1 out of 10 which is really nice. I think I still need a couple High Gloss cards from different years but I am getting closer to having a version from every year. Thanks Dad!

Got the Gold Parallel from the MVP set. Not an easy card to find since they are only available in the blaster boxes. I always have a hard time finding the Gold versions. I'm still trying to find an older gold OEL from another year. There are a bunch out there but hard to find. At least I have this years version. Hopefully there will be lots of OEL cards this year.

Another really nice card came in today. This is a SPx Rookie card with an authentic patch and is limited to 25. The really nice part is he signed it and also wrote Leksands IF which was the team he played for before he was drafted in the NHL. I really like this card and I am happy to add it to my collection.

It has been a little while since I have been able to get a new OEL card that I did not have. That being said, a pretty awesome card came in today. The Cup always have amazing looking cards so I was really happy to get this parallel version. Its a Gold Base Parallel limited to 12. I absolutely love this card as well as the other parallel versions I have. 

In other news, I did see the checklist for the upcoming MVP 2023-24 and OEL will be in the set. Its been a couple years that he has not been in the series so that should be about 4 or 5 parallel cards that will be coming.

The Panthers announced the new Jersey numbers for some of the new Panthers that will be playing next season. Looks like OEL will be wearing #91. That will look very weird to say the least. All his Autographs have the #23 so I wonder how many times Oliver will accidently write 23 instead of 91. If I get a chance, I would like to ask him why he picked #91.

It's been a little while since I have been able to get a new OEL. It seem's to be tougher to find them these days. I was able to get this one though. It s a nice looking card and this parallel was limited to 10 so I am pretty lucky to get this one. A nice addition to my collection.

OEL is now a Florida Panther! I think he can do really well and the Panthers are a pretty decent team as they made it all the way to the Stanley Cup. I think OEL can do really well and I think he is going to have a really good season. The best part for me is that he will be in the same timezone as me which means, I can watch more OEL games. I didn't get a chance to watch him as much as I would like since most of his games were after 10pm. I will need to see the 2023-24 NHL schedule to see which games I can see him. I can't wait to see him soon. Good Luck with the Panthers OEL!!!

A nice find from long ago. There seems to be a ton of these "In The Game" cards that I don't have. Every now and then my Dad and I find these.  This one is a card before OEL was drafted by the Coyotes because he has the #3 in his signature. Once he signed for the Coyotes, he used the #23 in his autograph like his Jersey.

It's been a few weeks since I have gotten a new OEL card. Pretty hard to find one that I don't have or one that is in my price range. I am happy that I managed to get the Clear Cut version of the current Upper Deck. I am still looking for the High Gloss out of 10 and the Clear Cut Exclusives version but maybe they will show up somewhere later this year.

Now here is a nice one that came in the mail today. This is a Black Diamond Emerald Auto limited to 10. It looks a lot nicer in person and the green really pops. My dad mentioned that he had a chance of getting this once before but lost out because the price went really high. I wonder if another OEL fan got it or someone who was collecting the emerald set. Just glad its now in my collection.

We found a pretty rare card from 2015-16. This is the Limited Base SP Authentic card out of 25. Every once and a while these ones pop up that are super limited so I am pretty excited to get this one. It's always nice when I find his Coyote cards.

Upper Deck Series 2 is finally out which means I have multiple OEL parallel  cards I now need to find. First of all, I have to say I really like the close up photo on his card this year. I'm really liking this one. Now I need to find the French, UD Exclusives, High Gloss, Clear Cut and Clear Cut Exclusives Parallel cards. And then a little later, the Foil version and Speckled Rainbow version. Hopefully I will find them all.

Here is a card that is a little harder to find since there are only 15 of them. This is the UD Game "Patch" from Series One. The weird thing is, there was also one in Series Two. I have both versions of that one so now I have a perefect match for both seriesVery happy to add this to my collection.

The Blue is in. I now have all the various colours for this year's O-Pee-Chee set. They all look really nice but I wish they had a Neon Green out of 50 like they did last year. That would have made the whole set really pop. If I were to pick a favourite colour this year, I would say the Yellow really stands out.

The Red is in. Got the Red Parallel in the mail today so I am that much closer to completing the rainbow. I just need the Blue now and I think that may already be on its way maybe later in the week. Still havent's found the Blank Back Retro and my Dad and I have looked around. I'm just happy to complete the rainbow at least.

I now have the Pink parallel of this year's O-Pee-Chee card. Still need the Red and Blue Parallel and then there are a couple versions of the Retro version. I'm pretty all of them should be easy to get but the hardest ones to find are the Blank Back versions. Those are super hard to find but my Dad and I will keep an eye out. The big Toronto Card Expo is next month so that might be the best chance of finding it.

A parallel I did not have. There are so many versions of this card but I do like this card. OEL is wearing the third jersey with the jumping Coyote which some people don't like but I kind of like it. This version which is limited to 12 has OEL's signature and two pieces of his Jersey. I have one that looks very similar to this one but it is a signature and patch version.

So the brand new 2022-23 O-Pee-Chee set is now out which is exciting since there is a new OEL card available. There are a few different parallel versions so with the help of my Dad, I will need to hunt them all down. My Dad got me a Hobby Box and a Blaster Box. The funny thing is, I don't have a base card but when I opened my second pack of the blaster box... BOOM! I seriously can't believe out of the 600 available cards, I got the exclusive Yellow parallel. Talk about a lucky pack! I was so excited and still can't believe it.

Seem's like I have been able to get a bunch of older OEL cards these days. I always like Autograph cards so I was pretty excited to get this one. I don't know too much about this but it is limited to 30. There are a lot of "In The Game" cards that I don't have but i'm sure I will keep finding ones that I don't have.

Mail Day! This is what came in the mail today. A 1 of 1 Purple Stature card. My Dad surprised me with this one. I love that I am the only one in the world that has this version. All I need now is the Red version that is limited to 25 I think. Hopefully we will find that one sometime but, until then, I still have this amazing card.

My Rainbow set of the Stature is is now complete! I have all the different versions of the set. I think this might be the first time I have completed all versions of an OEL card. They are all very nice but I was lucky getting the 1 of 1 and this one could have been hard to get too since there are only 25 of them.

We now have the Clear Cut from the extended series. My Dad says the UD Exclusives will be coming soon which means we only need to get the Clear Cut Exclusives version. A very hard card to find. Hopefully we will get it. I do like all the Clear Cut cards.

Time to celebrate! Today I got my 700th Ekman-Larsson card and its a super rare one too. Number 5 out of 5 Emerald Parallel. Thank You to Chris for selling this card. I also wanted to thank all those who have helped me get to #700 and most of all, my Dad. I am pretty sure he loves collecting OEL as much as I do.

YES! My dad was able to find someone locally who had a High Gloss version. These parallels are so hard to find so I am really happy I was able to get this one so early. I still need the very hard to find Clear Cut Exclusives version. I don't think anyone knows how many of them there are. Hopefully I will be able to get that one too. One thing about this card worth mentioning is this is the 699th Ekman-Larsson hockey card I have.

Woohoo! Check out this sweet card. This was a total surprise that came in the mail today. OEL is looking GQ with that really nice suit. I guess this is a variation of the regular card. I have seen a few other different players in suits so I was always hoping OEL would get one. My only complaint is he is wearing a mask but I think a lot of these suit cards have players wearing a COVID mask. Other than that, this card is spectaular!

Well, I knew this day was coming. Ekman-Larsson's first hockey card in a Vancouver Canucks uniform. I am getting used to seeing him in a Canucks Jersey but it is still growing on me. The one good thing is it means a whole bunch of new OEL cards for me to collect. Now I just need to find all the different versions. Hopefully I can make a few posts this week with new cards.

Another card arrived today! I got the High Gloss version of this years Upper Deck. They are so hard to find so I was pretty happy to see this one. I also found out that there will be another Ekman-Larsson card from Upper Deck in the extended series. It's going to be really weird because it will be the first hockey card with OEL in a Vancouver Canuck uniform. Until then, I am just happy that I got this one. I am still missing the UD Exclusives Clear Cut version but hopefully we might see it one day.

Sometimes when we scan in an Ekman-Larsson hockey card, it does not look as good as it does in real life. This card looks awesome. It has a lot of purple in it and it is very reflective. Even better, its only limited to 5! I have #3 out of 5 so there arent too many people who have this card. I have a few different versions of this card and they all look pretty cool.

OK, this is a big one and it's so hard to find. This is OEL's UD Exclusives High Gloss Holofoil Young Guns card. My dad and I have been searching for a long time and never thought we would find it or would be able to afford it. Thankfully we did both. I'm so happy to have this awesome card in my collection and to think that I am only 1 of 10 people to have this card. So cool!

I always like the MVP cards so I was pretty excited when I was able to get the Black Script version of this one. It is numbered 4 out of 5 so it is really hard to find. With this card, I have finished the complete rainbow set including the red version which was only available from the Coyotes arena.

a few more Stature cards have come in. I got the base card, the green card, the red card and the base portarit version. Now, I only need the red portrait. I still need the 1 of 1 but I don't think we will ever find that one.

I really like the new Stature cards. They really look good with the cool design and the card is pretty thick too. I was able to find the Blue Parallel and the very limited Black Parallel. I still need the Red and Green version as well as the portrait vesions as well.

Very excited to get this super cool card. It's a piece of the howling Coyote crest on the front of OEL's jersey. Jersey cards are some of my favorites and even better when they are big! I think it would be pretty awesome if I had all 26 pieces.

The new 2022-21 Hockey Cards are now coming out. I am glad to see some of the new cards but kind of sad that its the last cards with OEL in a Coyotes uniform. This O-Pee-Chee Retro Black Border is really cool and its even #23 out of 100. I have to thank Kregg for trading with us. He even got me a whole bunch of other Retro Coyote cards I needed as well. Thanks Kregg!

We were able to find this awesome OEL Rookie card. I have never seen it before so I was really happy to get this one. Its only limited to 25 so I feel pretty lucky to have one. It even has OEL wearing the Coyotes third jersey which is cool as well.

This may be one of my favorite OEL cards. I saw a picture of it when it first came out but I have never seen an actual version of it. My dad was able to find one and I am really happy that he did. Its so much better now that I have it. Its on a card like the Upper Deck Canvas cards. I even have this card on display on my shelf

Yay! Another Rainbow set now completed. The Orange Checkers Parallel out of 25 is now in my collection. Of course no Golden Treasure version but that's OK. One day I will get one of the Golden Treasures. This card looks so much better in real life than the picture I have here.

My complete Rainbow for the 2016-17 O-Pee-Chee (minus the 1 of 1 Golden Treasure) is now complete. Nik was able to help me out by getting me the Red Border Base version. I have to say, it looks pretty nice. One day I would like to own a Golden Treasure for any of my OEL cards so I can truly say I have a Complete Rainbow. Thanks again Nik!

Today we got in the 2019-20 Upper Deck UD Exclusives Clear Cut version. The regular UD Exclusives is limited to 100 but I am not sure how many of these versions are available. Maybe 20 or 25 if that? I know there is a 2020-21 version but I have never seen one yet. Hopefully we can get that too.

This is a different version of a card we already had. This is the limited Gold Medal Winner limited out of 25. This picture does not show it well but there is some gold foil on the card that makes it look really cool. I do like some of the OEL cards where he is wearing his Team Sweden uniform. Fun fact: My great grandmother was born and raised in Sweden.

Super excited to get the High Gloss version of Upper Deck 2018-19. These are really hard to get since there are only 10 of them. I have a few High Gloss cards but I want to find all of them including the 2020-21 version which I don't have.

Today I got my third version of SP Game Used. I think this is the Jersey number version parallel because there are only 23 that were made which is OEL's jersey number. My favorite vesion of this card is the one that has a piece of his Jersey in it but this one is harder to find.

We finally got the Red version of the 2019-20 MVP!!! This was a card that was only given away at Arizona Coyotes games. It is card # ARZ-1. Thank you so much to Michelle for getting me this card. Arizona Coyotes fans are the best.
